Pistorius is now set to be released from a South African prison on Jan. 5 after the court confirmed he had served the time necessary which makes him eligible.

The Olympic track star was granted parole nearly 11 years later after being convicted of murdering his girlfriend in 2013.

Pistorius was convicted in 2015 and sentenced to 13 years and five months in prison for the murder of his girlfriend, Reeva Steenkamp.

If granted, he would have been released from prison in the coming weeks.

Prison authorities are investigating the apparent brawl.

The convicted killer of his girlfriend will now serve over 13 years in jail.
