— -- Will "Wild Thing" take the mound in the World Series?
Charlie Sheen played Ricky "Wild Thing" Vaughn, a glasses-wearing, hard-throwing pitcher for the Cleveland Indians in the 1989 classic "Major League."
Since the real-life Indians advanced to the World Series on Wednesday, fans have been pushing on social media for Sheen to throw out the first pitch before one of the games in the best-of-seven series.
Sheen, 51, is certainly game.
On Thursday he posted a photo of himself as Vaughn and wrote, "'Major League' continues to be the gift that keeps on giving! if called upon, I'd be honored."
It remains to be seen whether the Indians will hand the ball to Sheen during the World Series.
The American League team will take on the winner of the National League Championship Series between the Chicago Cubs and Los Angeles Dodgers beginning Tuesday.
