Will Ferrell Opens Up About Fatherhood With Three Boys
He compares it to "running a prison."
— -- Will Ferrell is one of the funniest men on the planet, but when it comes to raising his three sons, he's got to be a bit tougher.
"I sometimes equate it to what it must be like running a prison," he joked to People magazine about his house with sons -- Magnus, 11, Mattias, 8, and Axel, 5.
Ferrell, 47, has been married for the past 15 years and said there's a lot of yelling in his home with three rambunctious boys.
"What happens with three boys is you end up barking out orders like, ‘Upstairs now!’ ‘Brush teeth!’ ‘Lights out!’ ” he added. “There is so much chaos you can’t really take the time to articulate.”
But in the end, Ferrell wouldn't have it any other way.
"[When] I lose my temper and I really become a dad, I often think, ‘Oh, if anyone was a fly on the wall, they’d be like, “Will Ferrell is not a funny father!" he said.
