— -- Taylor Swift and Harry Styles were the talk of the town when the two dated back in 2012.

In typical Swift fashion, when the two pop stars split, the songstress wrote music about her big breakup, including the rumored hit about Styles, "I Knew You Were Trouble."

Styles and the rest of his One Direction mates did a video hangout this weekend to connect with fans and celebrate their new album, "Four."

At 28:39 of the video, Styles, 20, answers the question of what it's like to have Swift, 24, write songs about their love life.

"We always say that we write from personal experience," he said. "Everyone does, so it would be hypocritical of us to be like, 'Oh, you can’t write about us,' and she's really good. So, they are good songs. So, I'm lucky in that sense."

About as classy and mature an answer as you’re likely to get, folks. If you are not a One Direction or Harry Styles fan, maybe you will be after that surprising response.
