Perry, the 65-year-old Aerosmith guitarist, was performing with his band the Hollywood Vampires at the Coney Island Amphitheater. The band consists of Perry, Alice Cooper and Johnny Depp. Witnesses told ABC station WABC-TV in New York that he walked offstage shortly into the performance and then collapsed.
He was transferred to Columbia Presbyterian Hospital after initially being taken to the emergency room at a Coney Island Hospital, an official told ABC News. No further information was available about Perry's condition, the spokesperson said.
