"Dancing with the Stars" season 32 kicked off its Disney100 night of competition by paying tribute to former contestant Suzanne Somers.

The show's Oct. 17 episode opened with the words, "In memoriam," followed by a photo of Somers.

"DWTS" co-host Alfonso Ribeiro also honored the "Three's Company" actress later in the show, saying she "made a big impression both in the ballroom and behind the scenes" and sending thoughts to her family and friends.

Somers, who died Sunday at the age of 76 following a battle with breast cancer, competed on season 20 with professional partner Tony Dovolani. They were the fourth couple to be eliminated.

Dovolani previously responded to Somers' death, telling Entertainment Tonight in an interview published Monday that it hit him "like a ton of bricks." He called her a "beacon of light" and said he chooses to remember her "with a smile on her face."

Elsewhere in the episode, NFL star Adrian Peterson and his pro partner Britt Stewart were eliminated after scoring a 21 out of 30 for their Viennese waltz to "Baby Mine" from "Dumbo."

"This dance journey has really meant a lot, just being introduced to something totally different, getting outside my element and learning these routines," Peterson said on "Good Morning America" Wednesday, speaking of his experience. "I feel like Britt has done an incredible job of coaching me up, lifting me up, pushing me, inspiring me throughout this process."
