Janet Jackson is using her global platform to recognize health care personnel working to stop the novel coronavirus pandemic.

While many across the world are privileged enough to self quarantine, the singer's message addressed the workers who are fighting daily, while risking exposure, to save people's health.

"There are many brave people around the world that aren’t able to be isolated because we need them," she wrote.

Jackson explained that she wanted to express her appreciation for "the nurses, doctors, hospitals, healthcare providers, scientists, drivers" who are "working nonstop to end the spread of the virus."

She also called attention to many who are also working to help, but whose actions are sometimes overlooked. She listed "pilots, flight attendants, delivery teams, cleaners, grocery stores, clerks, teachers, managers, men and women in uniform, sanitation facilities, janitorial teams, reporters, journalists, security professionals."

Jackson explained that these are the people who are "putting themselves at risk to protect, serve and provide for us."

"YOU are seen and forever appreciated," she added. "Thank you and please stay safe." She also encouraged her followers to embrace kindness and spread love during this time.

The singer shared a post earlier this week with suggestions for those having trouble with social distancing. Some of her ideas included meditation and prayer, working out, listening to music and writing.

"Positivity and spreading love is everything right now," she wrote in a post. "Feel free to share with me all the things you all are doing, and your own versions of what I posted too. I would love to see."
