Shawn Johnson, Andrew East announce baby No. 2 has arrived
The couple are already parents to their 1-year-old daughter, Drew.
Shawn Johnson and Andrew East have welcomed their second child, the couple announced Tuesday.
The pair marked the arrival of their newest bundle of joy, a baby boy, via a statement on their Teddy and Bear Kids Instagram account.
"We're so excited to announce a new friend is here!" Johnson and East, both 29, wrote on Instagram Stories. "Mom and baby are doing well, and we can't wait to meet our new friend."
Johnson first revealed she was pregnant with baby No. 2 in January. "Here we go again," the Olympic gold medalist captioned an Instagram post that featured photos of her with her family.
East joined in the celebration at the time by sharing a photo of himself kissing his wife's baby bump. "We're pregnant," the professional football player wrote.
In February, Johnson revealed she had tested positive for COVID-19. East had previously been diagnosed with COVID-19 days after they learned of the pregnancy.
Johnson and East, who married in April 2016, then announced in March that they were expecting a baby boy.
Their son joins big sister Drew, 1, who was born in November 2019.
