"I’ve been making Christmas [bark] with my family for so many years and it’s always such a big hit," she told "GMA." "So I thought it’d be fun to make a spooky Halloween version with some well known Halloween candies that people have leftover from Trick-or-Treating!"

Watch how she makes this Halloween bark and see the full instructions below.

Ingredients
Saltine crackers (about 40)
1 cup (2 sticks) unsalted butter
1 cup brown sugar
Chocolate chips
Assorted candy and sprinkles

Directions

Preheat oven to 400 degrees.

Place saltine crackers onto a baking sheet lined with parchment paper and set to the side.

In a saucepan, add your butter and brown sugar and let simmer on medium-high heat until the brown sugar dissolves completely.

Remove the saucepan from the heat and quickly pour mixture onto the saltine crackers. With a spatula, spread out the brown sugar and butter evenly.

Place the baking sheet with the covered saltines into the oven and bake for about 7 minutes until the mixture is bubbly.

Once out of the oven, immediately add chocolate chips all over and wait for them to melt on top. Then spread the chocolate evenly.

Here’s where you can have fun! Sprinkle whatever candies and sprinkles you’d like on top of the melted chocolate. You could even drizzle peanut butter, Nutella, cookie butter or white chocolate!

Once you’ve added everything on top, place the baking sheet in the freezer or fridge until everything has set completely. (Should take about an hour.)

Remove from the freezer/fridge and begin to crack the candy. You can make the pieces however big or small you’d like.

Place the bark on a plate or in a bag or container and enjoy!
