BTS' Jungkook takes center stage as Calvin Klein's new global ambassador
The South Korean singer is sporting Calvin Klein's latest spring 2023 styles.
Jungkook has a new gig, and fans love this for him.
The BTS member is Calvin Klein's latest global ambassador, and was recently photographed for the brand in an array of Calvin Klein pieces.
On Monday, the fashion retailer dropped a teaser video giving everyone a glimpse of the new campaign starring Jungkook, and on Tuesday the official news dropped that the South Korean singer would be the face of the brand's Calvin Klein Jeans and Calvin Klein Underwear lines.
Photographed by Park Jong Ha, Jungkook is seen sporting looks from Calvin Klein's spring 2023 collections. One shot features the singer shirtless, wearing an oversized denim jacket.
Other images show him wearing the retailer's 90s straight denim and Body jeans, Relaxed Fit Denim Shirt, and Relaxed Fit Standard Logo Crewneck Tee.
"I have been a fan of Calvin Klein for a long time, and I'm thrilled to be their newest global ambassador," Jungkook said in a statement. "This partnership is very special, as Calvin Klein's heritage and brand values resonate with me."
He continued, "My music is how I communicate with my fans around the world, and I see this partnership as an opportunity to connect with them in a new way. I'm incredibly excited for people to see a new side of me in this first campaign for the brand."
Calvin Klein's chief marketing officer Jonathan Bottomley also expressed his thoughts on the new partnership saying, "We pride ourselves on identifying globally relevant talent whose cultural impact and values align with our own. Jung Kook is one of the world's most popular artists; he possesses a rare ability to connect with international audiences through both his music and his style. We're fortunate and excited to have him join the Calvin Klein team."
Jungkook isn't the only BTS member taking the fashion world by storm. The popular Bangtan Boys' Suga was announced as one of Valentino's Di.VAs brand ambassadors in January. Just before that, Dior appointed BTS member Jimin as one of its global ambassadors.
In 2021, all members of BTS were signed with luxury label Louis Vuitton.
