— -- Reigning “Dancing With the Stars” winner Bindi Irwin has one piece of advice for the new stars competing in season 22.
“I think it’s so important to believe in yourself,” Irwin, 17, said on “Good Morning America” today, surprising the newly announced cast in a live remote interview from her home country of Australia. “Surround yourself with people who will support you, your friends, your family. I prefer to have a few snakes around me but, honestly, just believe in yourself and you’ll be able to accomplish anything."
Joined with her friend Bruce, a woma python, conservationist Irwin told the season 22 stars what she wishes she had known before embarking on her “DWTS” journey.
“I wish I knew more to just cherish every single moment,” she said. “I think every week I was quite nervous for Monday night and you want to try your absolute best, but you have to enjoy each little moment, and just remember that it’s about sharing your story.”
The new season of “Dancing With the Stars” premieres at 8 p.m. E.T. March 21.
