Amy Green's Slow Cooker Applesauce

If you've never made homemade applesauce, this is your excuse to try it. Making applesauce in your slow cooker couldn't be easier and it's worlds different in taste than anything you can find at the store. Just chop the apples, add to the crock, cover, and cook. Peeling the apples is completely optional as most of the peel will be removed when the cooked apples are churned through a food mill. I like to use a sweeter variety of apple, like Gala, so that my applesauce is naturally sweet. Full Story
