— -- On the 75th anniversary of Lou Gehrig’s unforgettable “luckiest man on the face of the earth” speech, Major League Baseball has put together a touching tribute to the legendary first basemen.

Every single first base player in the MLB took part in a video recreating Gehrig’s famous speech.

The players are interwoven with footage from the moving moment, when Gehrig addressed his fans just weeks after receiving a fatal diagnosis for amyotrophic lateral sclerosis.

The video will be played today at all 30 major league baseball stadiums and the MLB announced they will donate $300,000 to organizations that fight ALS, now commonly known as Lou Gehrig’s disease.
