Amazon's Best-Selling Items Include Nintendo Wii Fit and Susan Boyle CD
Amazon.com releases its list of best-selling items this season.
Dec. 29, 2009 — -- If you received a certain CD by Susan Boyle or a book by former Gov. Sarah Palin this holiday season, you aren't alone.
Online retailer Amazon.com says it's top-selling CD during December was TV sensation Susan Boyle's "I Dreamed a Dream" and Sarah Palin's "Going Rogue" was the most-sold book.
According to the Puget Sound Business Journal, the Seattle retailer's peak day for sales was Dec. 14, when customers ordered more than 9.5 million items worldwide, or a record 110 items per second.
Amazon's own electronic book reader, the Kindle, was the top-selling item of the season, with more customers buying Kindle books than actual physical books on Christmas Day.
