The Alexander Group announced they have successfully sold their contemporary mansion on Biscayne Bay in Miami Beach, Fla., to an unnamed buyer for $47 million. The house was originally listed for $60 million. "It's really priceless," developer Shlomi Alexander told "Nightline" in an interview last year.<a href="http://www.thejills.com/"target="external">More photos on thejills.com.</a>

The house sits on a private island called Indian Creek, which is shared by about 30 other homes and a 300-acre golf course. Neighbors include the singer Julio Iglesias and retired Miami Dolphins coach Don Shula. Even though the waterfront side of the house is constructed with glass, the developers said the house was built to hold up in hurricane-force winds of up to 150 mph.

The house has 10 bedrooms and 14 bathrooms. Off the master suite, which includes a fully-stocked kitchen area, is the master bath with a shower large enough to hold about nine people. "I think it's definitely a party house," Shlomi Alexander said. "The single or married guy who collects houses and who would like to come down once a year, inviting people and basically party here."

Here is the main dining area, with a bar sporting a Mother of Pearl wall behind it. There are five kitchens and 12 refrigerators in the house. Some appliances are hidden behind 250 pounds slabs of sliding marble. A wine cellar, a 3D movie theater (which can double as a recording studio) and a surround-sound system in every room are also included, but not without hefty carrying costs. "Taxes, $1 million a year. Insurance, $60,000 to $100,000 a month," Alexander said.

Alexander said Yankees hitter Alex Rodriguez and Miami Heat star Lebron James both looked at the house, but neither could afford it. "I believe that you need to have at least half a billion dollar net worth in order to purchase a $60 million house," Alexander said.

This vertical garden is maintained from a remote office from Canada. Sensors detect when water is needed and computers remotely activate an irrigation system. The developers said they invested about $30 million in the home, and despite the current economy, they said they are convinced it will sell. "The price is not the issue here because we're not selling 30,000 square feet," Felix Cohen said. "We're selling the peace. This is a resort. This is the ultimate vacation place for the one who can afford it."

One of the biggest selling points of the house is the views. "It's not like a typical expensive house," Cohen said. "It's more like the dream resort. Instead of going to a fancy hotel in the islands, you get your own."
