2014 Emmy Awards: Jimmy Fallon Tries to Steal Stephen Colbert's Emmy Award
"I want to thank his wife and his children," Fallon said on Colbert's behalf.
— -- When Gwen Stefani mispronounced "The Colbert Report" in announcing Best Variety Series, Jimmy Fallon joked and, while on stage, he grabbed Colbert's Emmy and said, "She said it wrong, so means" I should have it and there is a mistake.
But Colbert let Fallon hold the award and instead of giving his own speech, he whispered the speech in Fallon's ear and the "Tonight Show" host repeated it.

It was hilarious. Fallon thanked Colbert's family for him, told some jokes on Colbert's behalf about anyone who wanted to work on the show to just go to IMDB and put your name in the database as some "creative" adviser, then finally got the late-night host to blurt out an obscenity.
"We want to thank Comedy Central, of course, they are great, I want to thank his wife and his children, everyone's work on the show for the last nine years," Fallon said.
Colbert was able to give a little speech about how great it was to host his show on Comedy Central for the past nine years.
"It has been a ton of fun to do the show," Colbert said. "We want to thank Jon Stewart again."
