July 18, 2011— -- JOE LEVY @RealJoeLevy (Judge) is an American journalist, magazine editor and cultural commentator with regular television appearances on VH-1.

Currently serving as Maxim magazine's Editor-in-Chief, Levy has a long history with the music industry's most respected magazines. Prior to Maxim, Levy served as Editor-in-Chief of the award winning Blender magazine (2004-2009) and before that spent ten years defining the editorial direction of Rolling Stone magazine as Executive Editor. Joe Levy's well-known work stems from his early involvement with the periodicals Details, Spin and Village Voice.

In addition to his significant contributions to the magazine world, he edited the book Rolling Stone's 500 Greatest Albums of All Time (2006) and The Rolling Stone Interviews (2007).

Levy graduated with honors from Yale University, and has served as an adjunct professor at NYU's Clive Davis School of Recorded Music. He and his wife reside in New York City.
