Adrienne Bailon Engaged to Israel Houghton
"The Real" host got engaged to Israel Houghton in Paris.
— -- Congrats are in order for Adrienne Bailon! The actress got engaged to Gospel artist Israel Houghton while vacationing in Paris.
"The Real" host announced the news on Instagram, flashing her ginormous engagement ring while enjoying a view of the Eiffel Tower. She captioned the video, "You. Me. Oui."
In a lengthy post on Instagram, Houghton, 45, gushed about his bride-to-be. He wrote, "I have seen and felt the essence of Gods grace through the life, the kindness and the courage of this woman."
The Gospel singer also referenced the criticism they both received after they went public with their relationship back in April. Many of Houghton's fans were upset that he abruptly ended a 20-year marriage just one month before photos surfaced of the two vacationing in Mexico.
Bailon had ended a seven-month engagement to Roc Nation executive Lenny Santiago last September, announcing the news on her talk show.
"I've seen her attacked, lied about, wrongfully accused, mocked, laughed at, and misunderstood," Houghton wrote Friday. "But, I've also seen the shining example of the eagle she is that rises above the cacophony of the noise of ignorants - I'm learning from her example."
His post continued, "She loves Jesus. She loves her family. She loves people. Even the ones that don't love her back. I pray God give me that same grace in my life. I've taken a giant leap of faith in asking her to share life with me forever and to give me a shot at getting it right this time... She has graciously granted my request... She said yes."
Houghton ended his post by thanking his fiancée "for graciously loving me."
