Alec Baldwin, Show Not Returning to MSNBC

Nov. 26, 2013— -- Alec Baldwin and his show will not be returning to MSNBC's lineup.

"We are jointly confirming that 'Up Late' will not continue on MSNBC," the network and a rep for Baldwin confirmed in a statement.

MSNBC suspended the actor's late-night talk show "Up Late with Alec Baldwin" on Nov. 15 after he allegedly used an anti-gay epithet during a verbal altercation with a photographer on the same day a woman stalking him was sentenced to jail time.

Baldwin later posted an apology on the MSNBC website saying, "I did not intend to hurt or offend anyone with my choice of words, but clearly I have."

Earlier this week, Baldwin tried to poke fun at the incident, telling a male member of his entourage, "I love you in that way."

He also admitted that he should have been more careful with his choice of words, especially given his role as a dad to 3-month-old Carmen.

"If in any context in the world that we live in today, if any word is remotely offensive to people, then I'm perfectly willing to learn a different word," he said.
