Alec Baldwin's Accused Stalker Says He Has a Scar on His Hip
Baldwin Says Genevieve Sabourin's conduct something "out of a Hitchcock movie."
Nov. 12, 2013— -- Alec Baldwin's alleged stalker repeatedly shouted out in court today to claim she had sex with the "30 Rock" star and will take the stand to detail what she says was an affair with Baldwin.
The testimony of Genevieve Sabourin, if her outbursts are any indication, could be volatile. At one point today, insisting that she and Baldwin had been intimate, she yelled, "He has a scar," and pointed to her own hip.
Her lawyer said Sabourin, 41, will take the stand Wednesday in Manhattan. She is charged with harassment and stalking.
She appears eager to speak in court and couldn't stop despite repeated reprimands by the judge.
"Really?" she exclaimed at one point.
When told by the judge to stop interrupting Baldwin's testimony, she told the judge, "I've got to prove I had a sexual relationship."
"Stop defying my orders," the judge said.
"He's lying to you," she insisted.
At one point, Sabourin screamed to her lawyer to object when Baldwin insinuated that she was a drug or alcohol addict.
Defense lawyers eventually escorted Sabourin out of the courtroom for a break under the threat of being held in contempt.
Baldwin, 55, said he felt terrorized by the defendant, whose behavior and threatening emails also terrified his wife Hilaria after their 2012 wedding. He compared Sabourin's behavior to something "out of a Hitchcock movie."
A Film Society event at Lincoln Center and his home in East Hampton – the day of his proposal to his current wife early last year - were just a few of the places Baldwin said he would see Sabourin following him.
His voice rose and he got emotional as he told the court that he had to tell security at an event, "That is the stalker who has been stalking me and my family" when he saw Sabourin in the audience.
The defense for Sabourin brought up Baldwin's history of anger.
At one point Baldwin told Sabourin's lawyer to speak slower. "I know you're nervous," Baldwin said.
"I'm not nervous," the lawyer responded.
"You seem extremely nervous," Baldwin replied.
Hilaria Baldwin, 29, also took the stand today, pointing to Sabourin and said she "made a lot of unwanted phone calls and emails" to her husband.
She added that prior to their marriage, Baldwin had told her that he had "a woman stalking me."
Hilaria Baldwin described a call she claims she got from Sabourin.
"She started shrieking at me 'You bitch, you bitch, you bitch,'" Baldwin's wife testified.
Sabourin again yelled in court, "You're lying" and "You're going to go to hell."
The judge had to warn the defendant yet again for threatening a witness.
Hilaria Baldwin told the court Sabourin came to her East Village apartment in April 2012, an incident she said was "terrifying." She added in that "menacing" tweets were sent to her way by Sabourin later that year in November about how she hoped she would have a miscarriage, while she was pregnant with Baldwin's baby.
"I'm terrified of her," said Hilaria Baldwin, who gave birth to daughter Carmen in August.
Baldwin met Sabourin in 2002 while filming "The Adventures of Pluto Nash," where she was a publicist and Baldwin had a small role. He has said that they only have met a few times over the last decade and it was always professional, yet she would send emails saying "I want to be your wife now" and "The best gift from you ... would be to conceive a mini-Baldwin."
Sabourin was arrested outside Baldwin's apartment last year.
If convicted, Sabourin could face up to 90 days in jail on one of the counts, according to the AP.
