Ali Fedotowsky is expecting a baby girl, she revealed on her website.
The former "Bachelorette" and her fiancé, actor Kevin Manno, first learned the baby's sex late last year, but didn't reveal the news until today.
In a blog post on her website, the TV personality explained that they tried to keep the news a secret for as long as they could, but that now felt like a good time to go public.
"Honestly, we would have been thrilled with either sex," wrote Fedotowsky, who appeared on the sixth season of "The Bachelorette" in 2010. "It's cliche to say but all we want is a healthy baby. Well it's cliche because it's SO TRUE!!!! I didn't realize how true the statement is until getting pregnant. Because you worry all the time -- at every doctors appointment -- that something will be wrong. We are so thankful to say that so far, our little girl has passed every test and is looking very healthy. But no matter what happens, we will love everything about her."
Fedotowsky, 31, and Manno, 32, began dating in 2013 and announced their engagement last September. In January, Fedotowsky announced that she was pregnant.
"It's funny because I totally pictured myself as a mother to all boys," she added. "Maybe because I'm kind of a tom boy [sic] myself... so I thought I'd fit well with all boys. Plus, I've always said that I could totally get used to being the queen of the house - ha! Now, my little girl will most certainly be the queen of the house and I am completely ok with that."
Editor’s note: The term “gender” has been updated to “sex” of the unborn child.
