'Ant-Man': How the Post-Credit Scene Ties Paul Rudd into 'Captain America: Civil War'
Paul Rudd will be back ya'll.
— -- "Ant-Man" dominated the box office this weekend and for good reason; Paul Rudd shined as the tiny superhero, who in the books, was one of the first "Avengers."
So, let's talk about the post-credit scene that Marvel's made famous again and again.
Big Spoilers Ahead.
After the movie is over and yes, there is a mid-credit scene too, featuring Evangeline Lilly and her future as a superhero. But after all that, we see Captain America and the Falcon, played by Chris Evans and Anthony Mackie respectively, staring at the Winter Soldier.
Falcon had a run-in with Ant-Man earlier in the film and now Mackie is on the hunt to meet and possibly recruit the little guy for the team.
The Winter Soldier, played by Sebastian Stan, seems to have his metal arm stuck in some kind of machine and it's not clear as to why. But Cap and Falcon want to help him out in continued efforts to turn him back to the good side.
The two discuss calling in for help and this is when Cap shows the first sign of problems with Iron Man, the key plot for "Captain America: Civil War," that will hit theaters next year.
The "accords" are discussed and if they would even let Iron Man help out.
"We are on our own," Cap says.
"I think I know a guy," Falcon fires back, alluding to Ant-Man.
So, it looks like Rudd's hero will side with Cap and some of the Avengers, against Iron Man and others who share his mindset, that all superheros should be registered with the government.
