How Ashton Kutcher and Mila Kunis Chose Their Daughter's Name
The actors had a different name in mind at first, but had to change it.
— -- Ashton Kutcher and Mila Kunis had a baby name picked out before she even got pregnant.
But they were left scrambling when "the name just didn't fit the energy that we were feeling," and Kunis declared, "This is not the name!"
"We were going to a Lakers game and I got name Tourette's and I just started listing off anything and everything that I saw, like, 'Sign! Truck! Wall! Door!'" Kutcher, 36, recalled during an interview with Conan O'Brien on "Conan," never divulging the original name.
"But then I was like, 'OK. I got a really dumb idea. What about Wyatt?' And she goes, 'That's it.' We gave her the middle name Isabelle after Mila's grandfather, who was Yitzhak, so it has a little heritage [too]."
Upon choosing the name, Kutcher and Kunis, 31, went home and snapped up WyattKutcher.com, WyattIsabelle.com and every other possible iteration. The engaged couple also got her Instagram and Twitter handles.
"I don't want a porn site with my daughter's name on it!" the new dad declared. "It's unacceptable to me, and it's not going to happen!"
Now that she's here, he and his fiancee are just reveling in the joy of parenthood.
"We don't have a nanny or a night nurse or any of this stuff. It's just the two of us and it's unbelievable," he said. "It's the greatest thing on earth. As soon as this child was born, I immediately wanted to call my parents and just apologize because I never knew how much they loved me. It's absolutely insane."
The baby was born Oct. 1.
