'The Bachelor' Finale: Ben Higgins Is Engaged to Lauren Bushnell
Find out who was sent home in the finale of the ABC reality show.
— -- "Bachelor" star Ben Higgins is engaged to Lauren Bushnell.
The reality TV star popped the question in the season finale of the ABC show.
Prior to asking for her hand in marriage, he called her father to get his blessing.
"Lauren, I never want to say goodbye to you. I want to wake up every morning and kiss you on the face," he told her. "I want to spend the rest of my life with you. Lauren, will you marry me?"
Higgins, 27, and Bushnell, 25, had immediate chemistry, and he hit it off with her family during hometown dates, too. However, he also developed feelings for JoJo Fletcher and told both women, "I love you." In the end, though, Higgins told Fletcher that his feelings for Bushnell were stronger.
"I came into this not knowing if I was gonna find love. I didn't know if this would be real... but with you it was real, always," he told Fletcher. "I found it with you but I found it with somebody else more."
Higgins, a Denver-based software account manager, first appeared on the last season of "The Bachelorette."
