'Bachelorette' JoJo Fletcher Reveals What She’s Looking for in Mr. Right
Fletcher said she’s “having fun” with the bachelors now wooing her.
— -- JoJo Fletcher lost her bid for Ben Higgins’ heart when he gave the final rose to Lauren Bushnell on the season finale of “The Bachelor,” but Fletcher hasn’t given up on love: She's the new star of “The Bachelorette.”
Filming of the new season is currently underway, and in an interview that aired on “Good Morning America” on Friday, she said sparks are flying between her and the men who are wooing her.
“I am connecting with these guys," she said. "I’m having fun with them. I’m actually feeling feelings, which I didn’t expect so early on."
Fletcher, 25, explained what she’s looking for in Mr. Right, saying he should be someone who “can make me feel safe and protected and somebody that I can trust.”
She wants her happy ever after.
“I want to be engaged," she said. "I want marriage. I want a family, so I feel like this could happen right now."
Fletcher came very close with Higgins, but although he professed love for her, in the finale, he told her that he had also found it “with somebody else more.”
Their breakup was tough on her, but Higgins said there are no hard feelings.
“I went into that morning feeling like I was going to get engaged. I had mentally prepared myself for that, but you know it didn’t work out,” she said.
As for her current relationship with Higgins, Fletcher said: “Ben and I don’t communicate...I spent those last couple of days and weeks trying to recover from my breakup with Ben.”
