Barbara Corcoran cried for the 1st time in 25 years because of 'Dancing With the Stars'
"I've never encountered anything that was so difficult for me," she said.
— -- Barbara Corcoran never considered herself to be an emotional person, but all of that changed when she signed on to the 25th season of "Dancing With the Stars."
The "Shark Tank" star told ABC News that for the first time in 25 years, she's found herself crying out of exasperation.
Dancing, she explained, is nothing like the deal-making she's used to in her real estate business.
"It has been very difficult because I use my mind in my work. I’m always analyzing things and running from my gut," she said. "With dancing, it has nothing with the mind. It has to do with what you believe in your heart, actually! Weirdest thing. I've never encountered anything that was so difficult for me."
Corcoran, 68, and her partner, Keo Motsepe, struggled in last week's season premiere, earning the lowest score of the night: 14. However, she told ABC News that she's "having a blast," partly because of her dynamic with Motsepe.
"I just love that Keo," she gushed. "When I was asked to be on 'Dancing With the Stars,' I immediately went to the website, checked out all the men, looked at what they looked like and I said, 'I'm just going to pick the best-looking guy out there -- the real rock -- and how bad could this be?' And it hasn't been bad."
"We're hoping to announce our engagement soon," she continued, joking. "After all, [fellow Shark] Robert Herjavec and Kym [Johnson, a former 'DWTS' pro] got married and that was Robert Herjavec's advice. He said, 'Pick somebody hot. Chances are you're gonna get married!' and he's right."
