— -- Beyonce paid tribute to the victims of the Orlando shooting during her concert in Detroit on Tuesday night.

She began "Halo" by saying the song is about love and "I would like to dedicate it to all of the family members who lost family members in Florida." A shooting at Pulse nightclub early Sunday morning killed 49 and injured 53.

Here's the touching clip.

Here's another angle.

Fans on social media immediately thanked Beyonce for taking the time to address the tragedy.

Beyonce is the latest superstar to pay homage to the victims. The Tony Awards addressed the shooting at the top of the awards show on Sunday night, with host James Corden saying, "All around the world, people are trying to come to terms with the horrific events that occurred in Orlando this morning. Our hearts go out to all of those affected by this tragedy."

Other events, including sports and late-night shows, have also paid tribute.

"Sometimes events are so horrifying and bleak that to come out here and tell jokes, it's not really possible," Conan O'Brien said Monday night. "And tonight sadly is one of those nights."

Stephen Colbert added, "Love does not despair. Love makes us strong. Love gives us the courage to act. Love gives us hope that change is possible."
