Beyonce's Mom Shoots Down Pregnancy Speculation
Tina Knowles said reports about Beyonce being pregnant are "not true."
Oct. 21, 2010 — -- If anyone would know whether Beyonce Knowles is pregnant (after B herself, of course) it would be her mother, and according to Tina Knowles, her daughter is not pregnant.
In an interview airing today on "The Ellen DeGeneres Show," Tina Knowles shot down rumors that the 29-year-old pop star has a baby on the way.
"No, no, it's not true," she said when DeGeneres asked if the pregnancy reports are correct. But Tina Knowles had a sense of humor about the gossip:
"The truth is that it's not Beyonce that's pregnant, it's me. I'm kidding, y'all. I'm 56."
She noted that "with all the rumors, by now, she'd have about five or six children."
Tina Knowles admitted that she's "looking forward" to her daughter having a baby, just "not right now."
Wednesday, Us Weekly magazine reported that Knowles and her hip-hop mogul husband, Jay-Z, 40, were expecting.
"B was shocked," a source close to the singer told Us Weekly. "She loves kids, but she wasn't ready to be a mother just yet."
Another source told the magazine that Knowles sees the baby as "a gift from God and she's so happy."
Knowles' younger sister, Solange Knowles, told Us Weekly, "She's got the most beautiful heart ... She'll be a great mom."
Just not anytime soon, apparently.
