Blake Lively Calls Breastfeeding 'a Full-Time Job'
The actress also opens up about announcing her pregnancy and life as a mom.
— -- Since becoming a mother, Blake Lively's life has been completely transformed.
Breastfeeding, the actress said, has been all-consuming.
It's “a full-time job,” Lively told Allure magazine. “I’m, like, driving down the road, pumping.”
Lively, 27, and her husband Ryan Reynolds, 38, welcomed their daughter James late last year.
However, the actress is continuing to work. Not only is she starring in a new film, "The Age of Adaline" (opening next week), but she's also running her own lifestyle site, Preserve.
"Most of the things I do are all-consuming, but somehow I find a way to do it all. It’s not having it all; it’s about doing it all,” she said. "Having it all could be having a happy, healthy family, and you could be a mom who stays at home, and that is the most admirable thing you could do. Or it could be having a profession that you really believe in, and not having a family, and doing what fulfills you."
"If it’s not a part of a conversation with someone face-to-face, those bites are why women tear each other apart or why the media will tear people apart," she added.
