— -- Brody Jenner thinks the Kardashians are great people, but the reality star doesn't understand why everyone loops the Jenners and Kardashians together.

Jenner, 31, had nothing but nice things to say about Kim, Khloe, Kris and Kourtney, but added he doesn't see them all that often.

"I love them all, we get along just great ... [They are] very real. Pretty much what you see on TV is how they are as a family," he told Yahoo Style in promotion of his new E! show "Sex With Brody."

When asked what Christmas is like between the two families, Jenner said, "We don't spend Christmas together ... Growing up, we had two completely separate lives. The Kardashians were the Kardashians and the Jenners were the Jenners. I think we went to a Christmas party but that's about it."

Jenner was actually told for the first time that Kim was having a boy and said, "To be honest, I don’t even really know Kanye that well at all. I’ve only met him one time, so I don’t really know [the Wests] ... That’s the one thing people don’t understand is that we live two completely separate lives. And everybody ties us in together as the Kardashians and the Jenners, but now what’s interesting is they got a divorce so they’re not even technically my family anymore."

Jenner also spoke about his relationship with Caitlyn, 65, saying he feels like he's finally "getting to know the person that had me."

"It’s been a journey, I will say that for all of us. I am not going to say it’s been the easiest thing in the world, it hasn’t. There have been a lot of things that have been difficult to deal with, but ultimately it’s not about me, it’s Caitlyn. Now Caitlyn is in a much happier place. And you only have one life and it’s very short and I think you should be who you are," he said.
