Calvin Harris 'Told to Rest' After Car Crash in LA
The DJ was hospitalized and released with minor injuries.
— -- Musician Calvin Harris was injured in a car crash in Los Angeles late Friday while he was headed to the airport ahead of a performance in Las Vegas.
The accident was at about 11 p.m. when a minor drove over the center line and collided with the SUV Harris was a passenger in, according to the Los Angeles Police Department.
Harris, whose birth name is Adam Wiles, was taken to a hospital and later released with minor injuries, the police said.
A post on Harris' Facebook page early Saturday said the DJ was "examined by doctors" and was "told to rest for a few days."
At least two people were in the car that crossed the center line, including a girl who was ejected and suffered a broken pelvis, police said. No one suffered life-threatening injuries, police said.
The DJ and boyfriend of Taylor Swift was scheduled to perform at the Omnia nightclub in Las Vegas Friday night.
A rep for Harris said in a statement: "He was examined by doctors and sustained a number of injuries. He has since been checked out of hospital and is now recovering."
"We wish all the other passengers involved in the incident a fast recovery," the statement said. "As a result he was not able to perform in Las Vegas at his Omnia residency and will be unable to perform tonight at Hangout Festival in Gulf Shores, Alabama."
