Chris Colfer Is Not Leaving 'Glee'

The actor's Twitter feed was hacked, his rep told ABC News.

— -- Chris Colfer is not leaving "Glee."

A rep for the actor told ABC News that his Twitter account had been hacked. He will return to the show for its final season.

Earlier today, a tweet was sent from Colfer's official account saying, "Due to personal issues, I have been let go from the cast of GLEE. Explanations will come shortly..."

Colfer, 24, has played Kurt Hummel on the series since 2009. Kurt is a gay high school student who was bullied and found a respite in glee club. Colfer's role has garnered him two Emmy nominations and a Golden Globe.

"We’ve been alerted that Chris Colfer’s twitter account has been hacked. Rumors of his dismissal from Glee could not be further from the truth," 20th Century Fox TV said in a statement. "We love Chris and look forward to working with him again this season."
