Chris Harrison is always on the road, filming "The Bachelor," or, most recently, "The Bachelorette."
However, this summer, he's turning the production of "Bachelor in Paradise" into a family vacation.
"Every season, I give them the list of places I’m going and they go, 'We want to go to Italy! We want to go to Bora Bora!'" Harrison told ABC News. "This summer, I'll be building sand castles on the beach with my kids."
Harrison, 42, declined to give specific details about the new spin-off, except to say that viewers of the franchise can expect to see "fan favorites" back. He also said that it would focus on "creating more relationships and less of a game element."
"'Bachelor Pad' was created as a game show and every season, got more and more away from that," he said. "What's really intriguing and important were these relationships [that formed there]."
To make sure that he feels at home on the road, Harrison, who has been working with the American Academy of Periodontology to raise awareness of gum disease, tries to bring as many creature comforts as possible, including an electric toothbrush.
"I try to stay healthy on the road, whether it's working out or oral hygiene," he said. "You find things that make you comfortable at the end of the day!"
