Comic-Con International 2016: 5 Things to Look Out For
"Wonder Woman," "Star Trek," "Game of Thrones" and much more!
— -- Comic-Con International 2016 in San Diego is billed as the biggest yet and for good reason -- there is SO much going on this weekend.
There will be panels for your favorite shows like "Game of Thrones" and "Mr. Robot" and celebrations for the 50th anniversary of "Star Trek." Plus the always eventful Marvel panel, which is more like an event itself.
In the past, trailers and tons of breaking news usually comes out of Comic-Con, so here's a look at five of the buzziest events we can't wait for!
1 - "Game of Thrones"
So, there's this little indie show on HBO you might wanna check out.
But seriously, "Thrones" ended in epic, epic fashion at the end of last month, so this panel is more crucial than ever. Will we learn more about Jon Snow's parents, as well as Daenerys and Tyrion. The questions go on and on, and there are only two seasons left! Plus, winter is here!
That panel is set for Friday afternoon.
2 - "Star Trek" 50th Anniversary
Comic-Con is going all out for this and rightfully so. An A-list red carpet took place last night for "Star Trek Beyond." Well, a new series is ALSO on its way, in addition to the blockbuster film.
In addition to the big premiere from Wednesday night, the original Captain Kirk himself, William Shatner, will take the stage on Saturday to preview the new series and reflect on 50 years of Trek lore.
There are sure to be amazing stories from the set and tributes to the late Leonard Nimoy, who you simply know as Spock. Young or old, this is something sure to pull at your heartstrings.
3 - "The Walking Dead"
Another show that ended in complete mystery this year was "The Walking Dead." In April we met villain Negan and it appears he's going to off one of Rick's crew ... BUT WHO.
Fans were up in arms as the season ended in classic cliffhanger fashion. Expect a ton of questions about that. Fans will be breaking down every answer from the cast and crew, much like they did last year with Jon Snow's death, wink wink, on "Thrones." Spoiler -- Snow came back.
4 - Marvel, Marvel, Marvel!
Where do we begin. Marvel teases fans about upcoming movies and shows so well, it's crazy.
Lats week, director James Gunn took to Facebook to share concept art for "Guardians Vol. 2" and he wrote a note that got the faithful very pumped.
"Drax, baby Groot, Yondu, Star-Lord, Mantis, Rocket, Nebula, and Gamora. Art by my wonderful pal Andy Park - this image led us a lot as we were developing the film. I can't wait to show you guys more of what we have in store for you... stay tuned for San Diego Comicon announcements next week! ?#?GotGVol2?," he wrote.
Stay Tuned!
