Darrell Hammond Will Be the New 'Saturday Night Live' Announcer

— -- Darrell Hammond is heading back to "Saturday Night Live," this time as the announcer.

The comedian will take over for longtime voiceover star Don Pardo, who died last month.

Hammond, 58, was a cast member on "SNL" for 14 seasons, longer than any other actor in the show's history. During that time, he was famous for impersonating Bill Clinton, Al Gore and Sean Connery, among others.

He will begin appearing on "Saturday Night Live" again Sept. 27, for the show's premiere.
