— -- Iconic rock singer David Bowie passed away Sunday at age 69. Still, his music will live on in the hearts of his fans worldwide.

Throughout his career, which spanned more than four decades, the British singer created tons of hits and collaborated with singers such as Mick Jagger, John Lennon and Iggy Pop.

Here are just a handful of his memorable music moments:

"Changes"

Bowie cracked the music charts with his 1972 hit, "Changes." The song was so important to the art-pop icon that it was also the very last song he performed onstage before retiring from live performances in 2006.

"Space Oddity"

Bowie released this 1969 hit just weeks before American astronauts first landed on the moon.

"Let's Dance"

The Nile Rodgers-produced single, "Let's Dance," was one of Bowie's No. 1 hits. It was released in 1983.

"Modern Love"

Bowie said this 1983 hit was inspired by singer Little Richard. After reaching the top of the charts in the U.S. and the U.K., Bowie later re-recorded "Modern Love" with Tina Turner for a 1987 Pepsi commercial.
