David Hasselhoff 'Changes' Last Name to Just 'Hoff'

The actor posted a video on YouTube announcing that from now on, he will simply be known as "Hoff."

"I've been wanting to drop the hassle off my life for years," Hasselhoff says in the video. "Now, I have made it official," he continues as he holds up a plaque with a "Certificate of Name Change" inside.

Hasselhoff, 63, said on Twitter that the name change "feels great" and is "a massive relief" for the actor.

According to Hasselhoff's reps, however, the actor's "name change" was part of a marketing campaign for Australian mobile service provider Amaysim, which launched today under the title “less hassle, more Hoff.”
