Dolly Parton Plans National Rebroadcast of 'Smoky Mountains Rise' Telethon

The telethon has raised more than $9 million for wildfire victims.

— -- If you missed Dolly Parton's "Smoky Mountains Rise" telethon last Tuesday, you can catch it again tonight.

The network getTV will reair the three-hour benefit for The Dollywood Foundation's My People Fund, which is donating $1,000 a month for the next six months to the more than 1,300 families that lost their primary residences in the raging eastern Tennessee wildfires late last month.

At last check, the star-studded telethon has raised more than $9 million, with the first relief checks going out this week.

Among the many well-known artists who performed on the show were Kenny Rogers, Don McLean, Cyndi Lauper, Reba McEntire, Hank Williams Jr., Amy Grant and Alison Krauss.
