— -- “Pitch Perfect” fans, rejoice! You have a chance to win a walk-on role in the third installment of the hit musical comedy film franchise, actress Anna Kendrick announced today in a live appearance on "Good Morning America."

Kendrick, who played Beca Mitchell in the first two films that follow the exploits of the Barden Bellas, a female a capella group, explained that fans can compete to win the role by recording their favorite “Pitch Perfect” soundbite on Dubsmash.

Here are the details of the competition:

Participants must compete via Dubsmash. There, they’ll find a “Pitch Perfect 2” gallery. They must go to their favorite soundbite and submit 10-second videos of their best “Pitch Perfect 2” spoken line or song and upload the videos to Vine, Instagram or Twitter using the hashtag #PitchSmash.

Fans have until Sept. 17 to submit their videos.

The winner of the walk-on role will be announced on “Good Morning America” on Tuesday, Sept. 22, the same day “Pitch Perfect 2” will be released on DVD and on demand. Ten runners-up will win the first two films on Blu-ray Disc.

“Pitch Perfect 3” is slated for release in the summer of 2017. Kendrick and co-star Rebel Wilson will reprise their roles.

"I think everyone is really excited to just do something a little different, just change up the structure of it … something creative," Kendrick said today on "GMA."

"Pitch Perfect 2" was one of the summer's biggest blockbusters, grossing $183.8 million in box office sales, according to Variety, and the franchise has a cult following, which Kendrick attributes to the music -- and crude jokes.

"I sang in choir when I was growing up and I think there's something very dorky but really compelling about music and I think especially about choral and a capella music and then you couple that with vagina jokes and it’s on," she said on "GMA." "That’s a medical term. I can say that? It’s a medical term. It’s fine."
