Harvey Weinstein 'Being Investigated' After Model Files Complaint
A 22-year-old claims the movie mogul groped her in New York.
— -- Movie mogul Harvey Weinstein is "being investigated" after a 22-year-old model filed a complaint with police on Friday evening, the NYPD confirms to ABC News.
The unidentified Italian woman claims Weinstein groped her in his office at the Tribeca Film Center in Manhattan around 6 p.m. Friday. No charges have been filed at this point, police add.
Weinstein, 63, is alleged to have grabbed the woman’s breasts, a police source tells ABC News.
After police look into the matter, it will be up to the Manhattan District Attorney’s office to decide whether to proceed with charges against the famed movie executive.
Weinstein is famous as a co-founder of Miramax and now is co-chairman of The Weinstein Company. The New York native married fashion designer and actress Georgina Chapman in 2007. The couple has two kids.
Representatives at The Weinstein Company did not immediately respond to ABC News' request for comment.
