Highlights From Comic-Con: 'Justice League' and More

— -- Basically this weekend in San Diego was bananas. Like Gwen Stefani "B. A. N. A. N. A. S."

There is way too much to cover it all, but we've narrowed it down to the basics of what you need to know.

If you're at work, make sure to read this during lunch, you're gonna need an hour or so.

'Justice League' and 'Wonder Woman'

We got first looks at both and they look incredible. A little more backstory was shared featuring Diana Prince in "Wonder Woman" and we saw plenty of action in the first trailer, directed by Patty Jenkins.

With "Justice League," Zack Snyder shared the first look at a movie still three years out, but what a look! In the clip, Bruce Wayne, aka Batman, is recruiting his team of Earth's defenders to battle a dark force.

Also, we got extended "Suicide Squad" footage. (Not entirely safe for work.)

'Captain Marvel,' 'Black Panther' and 'Spider-Man'

After Warner Bros. had its panel, Marvel was up next and the company came prepared!

We already knew Chadwick Boseman will play the titular role in "Black Panther," but he's going to be joined by an incredible cast. The studio confirmed that Michael B. Jordan will co-star as Erik Killmonger, Lupita Nyong’o will portray Nakia, and "The Walking Dead's" Danai Gurira will fill the role of Okoye.

Jordan told ABC News at Comic-Con, "it's about time" that there's a comic book movie with a black cast and black director -- his "Creed" director, Ryan Coogler.

"I feel really optimistic about it and I'm really proud to be a part of it," he added.

Jordan further commented on how a movie like this one can help heal the racial tensions the country is experiencing right now.

"I think whenever you're able to tell stories from different perspectives that people might have a stereotypical point of view on and you're able to shine a light on it in a creative way, I think that always helps," he said.

Nyong'o pointed out that Marvel has a "rich and diverse universe," and its films are "embracing that diversity."

"Black Panther" will arrive in theaters in 2018.

The latest trailer for "Doctor Strange" also arrived Saturday. The new footage features some really cool action shots of Benedict Cumberbatch training with Tilda Swinton to become all great and powerful and stuff.

For "Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2,", new footage from the sequel was screened. The film will have a baby Groot, which director James Gunn said he spent a lot of time designing.

"It was something that really ushered the movie in a new direction," he says of the tree character, which was born out of the Groot that died in the first film.

It was announced that a new attraction based on the "Guardians of the Galaxy" series will open at Disney California Adventure park in Anaheim, California, next summer. You can preview the ride by watching a featurette on Disneyland's YouTube page.

The sequel debuts in May of 2017.

We ALSO got our first look at "Spider-Man: Homecoming."

Tom Holland will be reprising the titular role after appearing in this year's "Captain America: Civil War."

"It's a straight-up high school movie," director Jon Watts described the project on Saturday.

The film, also featuring Michael Keaton and Marisa Tomei, hits theaters in July 2017.

Here's your first look at the villain, The Vulture!

We still aren't done, though, as Marvel confirmed that Brie Larson will play Carol Danvers/"Captain Marvel" in a movie set for a 2019 release. The Oscar winner's character receives superpowers after her DNA is fused with that of an alien during an accident.

Marvel is owned by Disney, the parent company of ABC News.

With D.C. and Marvel out of the way, here are other highlights!

'Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them'

Eddie Redmayne is back in yet another trailer for the "Harry Potter" spin-off. The Oscar winner looks stellar.

'Star Trek: Discovery'

Aside from the premiere of "Star Trek Beyond," the new CBS show was featured and we got our first clip! Lots of boldly going where no man or woman has gone before!

'Kong: Skull Island'

Brie Larson had a big weekend. In addition to the "Captain Marvel" news, she was also front and center in the latest "King Kong" offering, this time without Jack Black, but with Tom Hiddleston, aka Loki and Taylor Swift's beau.

'The Flash'

The acclaimed CW show debuted its season 3 trailer, which will focus on the "Flashpoint" storyline. YASSS! Basically Barry Allen just went and messed everything up.

Also, "Arrow" brought its first look!
