'Hunger Games' Fans Sent on Digital Hunt for Deleted 'Mockingjay – Part 1' Scene

— -- "Hunger Games" fans went on a complicated Internet chase in an attempt to unlock a deleted scene from "Mockingjay – Part 1.”

Prior to the scene's reveal, the following announcement was posted on “The Hunger Games” official Facebook page Sunday:

"Stay tuned! Capitol TV brings you an important message from President Snow on Feb 16th."

People who clicked were led to a series of binary codes, where they were given a message to tweet the hashtag #UnlockMockingjay.

Fans waited for the hashtag to slowly unlock the scene, which was eventually tweeted by the @HungerGames account.

The scene shows President Snow [Donald Sutherland] threatening Peeta Mellark [Josh Hutcherson], leaving fans on a cliffhanger.
