The supermodel announced the news Friday in an emotional Instagram post.

"Saddened by death of my mom Maryan Baadi. May Allah grant her the highest jennah. I beg that you respect my family's privacy during our time of grief #ripmaryanbaadi," she wrote next to a family photo that featured her late husband on their wedding day.

The news comes months after Bowie, who was married to Iman for nearly 24 years, died at the age of 69. The musician passed away Jan. 10 after battling cancer for more than a year.
