Inside Evelyn Lozada's Baby Shower
The reality TV star celebrated her baby boy with a 'diamonds and diapers' bash.
Feb. 11, 2014 -- "Basketball Wives" star Evelyn Lozada is expecting a boy with her fiancé, Major League Baseball player Carl Crawford, and over the weekend, she celebrated in a big, blinged-out way.
The reality TV star, 37, feted her pregnancy with a diamonds and diapers-themed baby shower at the Beverly Wilshire Penthouse. The room was filled with jeweled trees adorned with white orchids for the event, and hanging glass balls, candles and diamonds helped create a luxurious feel.
Hosted by her friend Teresa Caldwell, her co-star Shaunie O'Neal, her daughter, Shaniece Hairston, and her publicist Danika Berry, the party was orchestrated by event planner Diann Valentine and sponsored by youthH2O Age Defying Solution.
As guests, including her co-star, Tasha Marbury, sipped "Mommy Mojitas" served in baby bottles and snacked on sliders, mini crabcakes, sushi and cake pops, a DJ played hits by Lozada's favorite singers, including Beyoncé, Marc Anthony and J-Lo. When guests' feet got sore from dancing, they enjoyed massages in a massage room covered with images of the pregnant star and played a trivia game that boasted a $100 grand prize.
At another station, friends were encouraged to autograph onesies for the newborn, along with memories of Lozada's special day.
But the biggest gift of all? A Versace stroller that Crawford had shipped from London for his bride-to-be.
