Jake Owen Announces Divorce from Lacey Buchanan After 3 Years
The couple, who were married for three years, have a two-year-old, Pearl.
— -- Jake Owen and his wife, Lacey Buchanan, are the latest country music couple to call it quits: They're splitting after three years of marriage.
They have a daughter, Pearl, who was born in November 2012.
Owen released a statement via Twitter Friday calling the split "the hardest thing I've ever done in my life."
"I wanted to let my fans know how much I've appreciated their support of not only my career, but my family as a whole. Sadly, Lacey and I have decided to end our marriage," he wrote. "We want to focus on our daughter Pearl and make sure that she has a beautiful life with loving parents."
Owen asked for privacy as they face the divorce. The couple got married in May 2012 after they met on the set of Owen's "Eight Second Ride" video.
This is the third country couple to split in recent weeks. Reba McIntyre and her husband, Narvel Blackstock, announced this split on Monday, while Blake Shelton and Miranda Lambert announced their divorce on July 20.
