Joaquin Phoenix Reveals He's Engaged to a Yoga Instructor

— -- Call it downward facing love.

Joaquin Phoenix has found love with a yoga instructor -- even though the relationship got off in a strange way.

The actor, during an appearance tonight on "The Late Show With David Letterman," said he took up yoga and started doing breathing exercises -- something that escalated to him wearing a harness.

"She's pulling and thrusting," Phoenix recalled.

Phoenix, 40, then said he and the instructor, whom he did not identify, got closer.

"This is the crazy part of the story. We started dating," he said, adding, "I think she's the one and I proposed to her, and she said yes."
