Jordana Brewster: What 'Furious 7' Set Was Like After Paul Walker's Death
How everyone was able to get back to work after losing a dear friend.
— -- With "Furious 7" hitting theaters today, Jordana Brewster stopped by "Popcorn with Peter Travers" to talk about the late Paul Walker -- who has played her on-screen love interest for almost 15 years.
"I remember this guy with blond highlights walking into this room, thinking how gorgeous he was," Brewster said of the first time she met Walker on set.
Walker died during production in November 2013 and Brewster said what sticks with her is that the late actor did most of his own stunts for this new movie.
"He was truly a black belt and I didn't know that till 'Fast 5.' He was just such a humble dude," she said. "Not boastful, which is so not Hollywood. That just speaks volumes about him."
When Brewster, 34, heard Walker had died in a tragic car accident, she said, "I just couldn't believe it."
"It was very supportive and loving," she said of the mood when the cast came back after his death. "It wasn't just about the cast banding together, but also the crew ... What was beautiful about the set was everybody tried to maintain a sense of decorum and professionalism, but if one of us lost it suddenly in the makeup chair, we were there to support them."
