Joseph Gordon-Levitt closed out the year by marrying his girlfriend, Tasha McCauley, his rep confirmed to ABC News.

The "Inception" actor and his girlfriend tied the knot in a private ceremony at their home Dec. 20.

Gordon-Levitt, 33, told Howard Stern in 2013 that he was dating someone who wasn't in the entertainment business, whom he met through mutual friends.

"I have a girlfriend but I tend not to really like to talk about it in public," he said, according to People. "The girl that I'm with, she really doesn't want to be a part of that."

The two were photographed together in May, and People identified her as McCauley, who describes herself on Twitter as the co-founder of Fellow Robots, a robotics company.
