Justin Bieber Deactivates His Instagram Account
And so the Jelena drama continues.
— -- After a tumultuous 24 hours in the world of Jelena, Bieber has done the unthinkable.
Beliebers woke up to find a Bieber-less Instagram this morning, as the singer followed through on his threats to make his account private. The Canadian popstar's page shows only an error message: "Sorry, this page isn't available. The link you followed may be broken, or the page may have been removed."
But he can't say he didn't warn them.
Earlier in the week, the 22-year-old singer responded to harsh criticism of his latest love interest, Sofia Richie, by writing, "I’m gonna make my Instagram private if you guys don’t stop the hate this is getting out of hand. If you guys are really fans you wouldn’t be so mean to people that I like.”
Things got messier when ex-girlfriend Selena Gomez allegedly decided to comment on the post, defending Bieber's fans. The comments were deleted shortly after.
Not to worry, though. Bieber hasn't disappeared from social media entirely. His Twitter and Facebook pages are currently still up and running.
