Justin Bieber Opens Up About Getting 'My Heart Broken'

— -- Justin Bieber is still on the mend when it comes to his love life, thus the reason the pop icon isn't dating anyone at the moment.

The singer spoke to Kyle & Jackie O on KIIS 1065 yesterday and explained why he is still single.

"I haven't been in a relationship for a while now ... I'm just hanging out," he said. "I'm a relationship type of guy. I love to be in love and I love cuddling, but I got my heart broken, so I'm just trying to let that heal up."

Bieber, 21, didn't say who, but did date fellow singer and actress Selena Gomez for years in the past.

When asked if it was someone in particular, Bieber said, "Let's not even go there."

Also brought up in the interview, was Bieber's past.

"We all go through that period," he said, adding that he doesn't want to keep apologizing for his recent mistakes.

The radio hosts have known Bieber since his early days and Kyle even offered to get him a car when he visits Australian. They made plans to race.

"[But] not in the street," Bieber joked. "Let's have a designated area in a private place."

He also admitted to distancing himself "from a lot of friends" recently. "You don't figure yourself out," unless you do that, he said.
